To learn what Coh-Metrix is, click on "What is Coh-Metrix?" You will be directed to the Coh-Metrix help page that gives you a complete explanation of Coh-Metrix.
To see how Coh-Metrix analyzes texts, you can click on the links below "Examples". These examples provide you with sample texts complete with corresponding Coh-Metrix output results.
To get an idea on the range of values for Coh-Metrix indices, you can click on the "Get Norm" buttion. Remember to specify the genre and grade that you are interested in. The norm was computed from sample texts from TASA corpus. You can click on "Get a text" to get a sample text from TASA corpus with specific grenre and grade.
Coh-Metrix tool set contains two basic tools: the text analyzer and the data viewer. Click on "Coh-Metrix 2.0" link to get to the text analyzer opened in a new browser. You can use the tool to analyze your texts. The Coh-Metrix results of your texts will be saved in our database. You can view your data at any later time using your jobcode. Click on "Data Viewer" link to view your data.
